Time to myself

February has been an interesting month and I cannot believe it is almost over. We finally had no guests and time to spend doing as we wished. I've been caught up in the Unravelling course run by the wonderful Susannah from Ink on My Fingers and it has been revelatory.

I'm not going to say too much about it here as I don't think its fair to give away the secrets but I would say that if you are interested in exploring more about yourself in a safe and a supportive environment, enroll and enjoy. This week has struck a cord especially as we were looking at our tribes, those people who surround us and support us. I'm so far away from most of those people at the moment that I sometimes feel hard done by, but a closer look made me realise that actually it makes very little difference whether I am there or not. They are still there for me.

In having February to ourselves we've been able to spend weekends (apart from the weekend I had to work) doing as we wished. This has included going to Zanzibar for a music festival and not doing any of the tourist nonsense there. It has included doing nothing this weekend other than browsing through the Unravelling course, working on some of the exercises, sorting out photos from the last three months and drinking lots of tea. Oh, and eating brownies that I baked on Friday. We've tidied the house. I've looked into South Africa plans. In short, my shit is together in a way it hasn't been in some time and it feels good.

Me time is so important! I always forget!

  1. Thank you for dropping by my blog - my links got wiped a little while ago and I lost yours! Great to have it back again, and to see what you've been up to. Would love to know more about Unravelling if you'd care to share, I've thought about doing it myself. xx
