All about home

Hectic times here in Ireland I'm afraid. I'm enjoying being home so much and just this evening have sat down a computer for the first time in days to look at my email, catch up on blogs and update my own.

I'm exhausted in the best possible way. I love catching up with all my family and friends and then there is the fact my sister just announced the lovely news of her engagement to her wonderful boyfriend. Her fiancee now I suppose! I am to be one of her bridesmaids so I'm trying to do some duties in the few days I have before disappearing back to Tanzania. I don't have any choice in that but I can at least look at some venues with her, help her look at rings and try on dresses so we know what kind of dress works for me. I may be home again at Christmas but that'll be it before the wedding next summer.

There has been some sadness mixed in. James' granny passed away and I attended the funeral with his grieving family. She had a long and happy life however which helped cushion the blow for them. I have also been visiting my own uncle who is suffering from terminal cancer. He has become an old man since I saw him last year and I may never see him again. Our sick dog also died over the weekend so that felt like the final straw. Bad things are supposed to come in threes so fingers crossed that's it for the rest of my trip home.

Hope you are all well and I'll be back to normal from next week I imagine!
