Closing in

My end of my time in Tanzania is closing in.  I have four weeks left at work, although sadly my fantasy that people would stop giving me work because I am leaving soon isn't coming true.  I may or may not have a dash home for some personal reasons in April and then a few weeks of travelling through as yet unseen (by me) parts of Africa. I'll be home in mid-May.  That's really not so far away. The date is closing in.

And yet, I have so much still to do and see.  So many people to spend time with.  Far too much work to finish. How do you prioritise when it comes to moving far away from a place you have spent two largely happy years in? It doesn't help that I don't know yet where exactly I'll be living come June (not even which country or job, never mind which flat) so I am ignoring my imminent departure date and acting as if I'm going no where. I haven't even looked for a plane ticket. I'm too busy day dreaming about wedding dresses. I really am a cliched engaged person. Oh, and of course, James isn't coming home in May or even June. Nope, it'll be August or September before he gets home. That doesn't help at all.

Roll on the St. Patrick's Day celebrations!  Who wouldn't be distracted by the thought of demonstrating her now defunct Irish dancing skills in front of nearly everyone she knows!  Job, schmob.. I have some jigging to practice!
