Winding up the day

And Monday is over for me. We are hosting a dinner party tomorrow evening so I ran around town gathering ingredients and yummy bits to feed our guests in case work keeps me late again and I cannot shop tomorrow. Unfortunately all the chicken was gone so that's James's task for tomorrow as he works closer to the supermarket than I do.

I also made a delicious prawn curry from a Nigella cookbook for tonight's dinner. I'll post the recipe at some point because it's well worth making.

I've even managed to make a start on actually cooking said ingredients for tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous because I'm cooking for people I don't know that well. When it's friends I know they'll forgive me any mistakes. I only half know most of those coming tomorrow but I'm hoping that I'll know them better by the end of the night. At least I've made the dish before (another Nigella recipe) so I am fairly confident it'll turn out to be edible. I have been known to experiement on guests before to their detriment. In any case, they probably won't judge.
