When the weather changes I become a sleep monster. The days heat up and become more tiring, even if I do spent a large portion of them in an overly air-conditioned cage. The nights heat up and sleep becomes more broken; interrupted by tossing and turning, air conditioning being switched on and off by my nighttime companion, throwing on and off of the sheet as the room heats and cools.
The net result of all this night time activity is to make me more and more tired in the day time. I come home from work and fall asleep on the couch. I go to bed early and wake up tired. I know the proper response to this should be to do some exercise in order to get my body moving but yesterday I was just exhausted when finally negotiated tetchy Ramadan period traffic and falling asleep on the couch seemed to be the only option.
I’ll make it up today, I promise! I didn’t think the heat tiredness would hit anything like this early in the year. I remember it happening at the start of December last year. Maybe I’ll get a second bout then. It took about three weeks to work through as I recall.
I wonder do other people feel the changing of the weather as much as I seem to.
