It's Friday evening already and while I was supposed to be out and celebrating a friend's 30th birthday it finds me in my pyjamas eating bread and nutella and checking out the internet.
Oh yes, I am a party animal and once again I fell asleep early in the evening. I woke this time to a text from a friend asking if I was at the party. My shamefaced reply prompted laughter and "see you Sunday". Although, in my defence I'm not alone this time. James is still snoozing soundly as I type.
This weekend brings with it more 30th birthday celebrations with a night away on a beach with a group of new people. It's always exciting to meet new people out here and expand our social circle and at least attending that part of the celebration will make up for being absent tonight.
On Sunday night Yussou N Dour is playin Dar. You may remember his most famous song, 7 Seconds. Someone famous and worth listening to is actually coming here. I think the last ones were Boyz2Men and they cancelled. Everyone I know is going so it should be a fun night no matter what the music turns out to be like on the night. And the fact that I probably won't get to bed until 1 or 2 on a school night? Who cares! I'm going to be crazy.
