catching up

This space deserves more than this bullet point post but I am tired and I think maybe coming down with something and so it goes:
- Zanzibar was fantastic and seeing my friend and her husband was even better
- Today was a day off too which was great even after the long weekend
- I have a pretty new dress with some traditional kanga going on
- Congratulations are afoot all over the internet - new nephews here and new engagements here
- I met my friends' new 5 month old baby who is struggling to adjust to the heat and humidity out here
- it's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring. Rainy season has set in properly here and I drive to work through lakes most days
- on the back of that though, it's much cooler. Happy days and happy nights.
- I think I'm catching the lurgy that's going around. I may have to retire to bed early tonight
- I've just started watching Cashmere Mafia. I'm reserving my opinion for a while
