So succinctly did my friend put it when I told the world about the traffic chaos that the World Economic Forum was going to inflict on Dar and on my life this week. And what has happened? I went to work before 6 this morning but I don't think they shut down the roads. Let's just say I am not going to do that again tomorrow. Back to normality for me.
I do wonder about the value of WEF here in Dar. As far as I can see it's an excuse for the big leaders to stay in nice hotels. Oh, and the Hilton has had the road leading down to it covered in tarmac. It does make a nice change from the bumpy mess there was before but I'm not sure that we should have to put up with all of this in order to get some roads paved. Welcome to a developing country I suppose.
Enough pondering. It's time for bed after my early start. However, I'm stuck. Stuck watching Grey's Anatomy. I've even seen it before and I'm still hooked.
